Our Time
It started raining,
and the sand stuck to our feet,
that trail of footprints,
that we left,
were beautiful,
because they were ours,
side by side,
stride by stride.
On that day,
in that rain,
in that moment
we owned the beach,
we owned every second,
every minute,
we owned our time.
The time writers write about,
the time singers sing about,
the time painters paint about,
we found that time by simply walking together,
side by side,
stride by stride,
on that day,
in that rain.
