Pitiful People
Let's cry through sad movies
Only to stand stoic when the situation really happens
Let's take glee in seeing a rainbow
Only to complain about the rain that preceded it
Let's get through high school
Only to say life is too hard and quit
And how about we
meet dozens of people
Only to end it all over one stupid crush?
It must be worth it
If the pain's too much.
How about we love him so deeply
That we bleed inside?
And when we talk to friends personally
Depression is all we confide?
How about we waste all our time
Saying that he can't go away
--Because, if he did,
Guess what we'd say?
"The pain is too much --
"I can't stand this crush --
"I love him so truly
"I'd spill the blood that runs through me."
*sigh*
And how about we all just
Die?
