Playing My Violin (The Final Chapter)
I went to see you again one night,
To tell you I loved you,
To make everything true.
When I got there, I saw the truth.
The truth is blinding,
I'll tell you that much.
I finally saw your heart.
There it was in her hands.
She held it and cradled it like a baby.
I went to get my violin from him.
This was over, I won't take this.
I refuse to be defeated.
Never will I admit,
I fell for his foolish tricks.
But when I went for my violin,
There he stood with a bloody bow.
He'd played my heart away,
My violin was no more.
And as I stood there and watched him play,
Playing my violin so fiercly,
I fell to the ground, and drowned in my own,
Yes, I drowned in my own blood.
While I drowned and died,
I knew then and there that it was a drug.
The playing of the violin,
Would make you fall into a pit of "love."
You think you are happy,
You think it's all ok.
Everything seems perfect,
While all the while,
The other is making you slowly decay.
He played my violin;
He played it fierce,
And I'd always love him,
Though he hated me all along.
So here I crawl, begging him back.
Begging him for his heart.
Save me my darling,
I thought you loved me.
Make hate to me please,
So I can make love to you.
Kill me again if you must.
Give me your heart for just a second,
Just to rip it out again
I don't want to lay here needing you,
Needing you to hold me and say,
Say that you love, when in reality,
All you want is to strangle me.
All you wanted was to play my violin. . .
