Poets Lines Painters Brush
The dawn mists depart
The sun rises from its velvet cape
Birth is given and life to start
Across the land a dew doth drape
The night world retreats and hides
Darkly shapes sleek to lowly shade
The Owl to sleep in silent glides
And the Badgers night is all but played
The suns warmth and gentle rays
Flowers open and take the dew
That gift of colour on summer days
Bears the calm of splendid view
Seeds and pollen dance the air
Blackbird sings with love in mind
With natures love and endless care
A garden song and peace will find
Hedgerows bloom in multi hue
Blossoms glint and gild the eye
Reds and yellows, pinks and blue
Flood the senses as time floats by
Trees of green, fields of corn
Field mice run the Falcons claw
Speedy stoop and life is torn
Natures pages read in awe
In the wild, life it lives
The poets pen writes its line
The painters brush, the colour gives
Peace be mine as they both entwine
