Praise To Him Above
The light each day basks the earth,
Its gentle rays warm the land.
Yet, a more brilliant Light once was seen,
At a birth in Bethlehem.
Each day the sun gives of itself,
Only one day to have its light subside.
But the Son who came that long ago night,
Is ever to be our guide.
The universe will come and go,
And eons of time will only pass.
But, from ever was . . . to ever will be,
His kingdom, surely will last
All the powers known to man,
Will wither when they are entombed.
But He raised Himself for us to believe,
Bound no longer by His earthly wounds.
All this for love of creatures small,
Did He endure the agony and strife.
May all men proclaim Him "Lord of all",
And with Him, share eternal life.
