Psychotic

Psychotic

    1. I love you, and it's pathetic.

I know, I know—you put the psyche in psychotic.

You raised me up at my lowest moment,

So you could push me off when I was done with all life's turbulence.

2.You're in my memories, raging in the back of my mind, and my last thought when my voice starts to crack.

In our brief time together, you never let me forget I'm a deck of cards that can't be stacked.

Gaslighted, groomed, and blackmailed to hold your hand when the world begged me to let go.

Sheltered, endured, love-bombed in my rarest moments to feed your endless ego.

3.In the end, when a relationship comes to its track's end or loss,

The bus driver calls for both to walk out of the bus.

Whether one stays or goes, it doesn't matter,

For it takes two to weather any storm together.

4.I love you, and it's pathetic.

For I tried hard to live with your belongings in the attic.

It takes a memory or two

To get me started running back to you

Or the souvenir you left behind.

    5. I loved you, and it's pathetic.

It's funny; I only realized that you don't need a diagnosis to be empathetic.

Dressed up in your favorite costume and several masks,

Only to get my feelings bottled in a cold and abandoned flask.
