Questions
Back together as we have agreed,
To keep the past where it belongs.
Yet some questions still need answered,
But I am too scared to ask them.
Scared that you will think,
That I no longer trust you.
Scared of the answer,
As the questions are most delicate.
They deal with the past,
So I’m not sure I want to ask them.
I am so curious though,
And really need to know the truth.
Do you still have feelings for her?
What was your relationship like?
How far did it all go?
And do you still love me?
Why didn’t you tell me sooner?
And are you mad that I am asking these?
But see I really need to know,
The answers to these questions.
The answers won’t be easy.
As I expect the truth,
But the truth will set you free.
Both you and me.
I won’t be mad,
Because I can’t be mad at you.
I will accept the answers,
No matter how bad.
I will still love you,
No matter what.
And I will not break it off.
As long as I get the truth.
