Returning Love
The sight of life twinkles behind the eye
as the seed among the dampened earth,
grows into the soul.
And when the dew from the night,
glistening upon the sun of these petals,
open up with love.
As a light wind blows upon the stem,
moving it gently releasing and flicking off,
these dead leaves.
Creating a new home from spring,
This tapestry of new life begins,
Recreating the old as the mulch feeds the ground.
Yellow and red with a tinted pink among the white,
while capturing the beauty of the soul,
this rose of life's love will always return,
Through the eyes of the ones who behold.
