Right There On the Sand
Right There On The Sand
by Rick Rucker
We will be standing, right there, on the Sand,
Very casually, I'll reach for your Hand.
I'll talk about Nonsense, like setting back the clocks,
So you won't see me pull out the Little Velvet Box!
In a second, you'll know it's a Ring,
If I could, at this point I would sing!
I have the voice of a Frog,
Or, as some have said, the howl of a Dog!
So here I will insert a recording,
An experience far more rewarding.
After the song, I will read you a poem,
You have said that they make your brain roam
To a time we will be Together,
Making rainy days into our Sunny Weather!
Alone, I'm okay, and you are the same,
But being with you has ignited a Flame!
I can't think of being happy without You,
If we were to part, don't know how I'd do!
At this point, the Box I will open,
Hoping you will give a thought to elopin'!
Some might think that this is too fast,
But soon enough, our Future will become our Past!
I still feel young, and you say the same,
I would like for the rest of my life, having you share my name!
This is not a sticking point,
No one needs to annoint
Our Love, so Sublime,
It will carry on, through Time!
If the Ring, you don't want to wear,
We will still be a Mated Pair.
A Ring represents Infinity,
How long we will, Together, be!
