Romantic Ode From a Nightingale
Let me dedicate this poem to Richard Lamoureux who took time to read my poems and left lovely comments.
There is a Nightingale outside my window
Sitting on a dried branch of my willow
Singing romantic ode
Facing the passing moon
“Oh dear, it’s love
When you chose night over day
When you kissed earth every monsoon
When you bloomed every morning and
When hummingbird fluttered around you
It’s love
Flowed through the breeze
Caressed every single rock in your flawless course
Rustled in the deep dark forest
When you kissed sky in seven melodies
When you danced to the rhythm of thunder
When you took away my children to surrender
It’s love
Immense love to sing a melody with me
The same old lyrics you composed to make me”
There is a Nightingale outside my window
Sitting on a dried branch of my willow
Singing romantic ode
Facing the passing moon
“Oh dear, it’s love
When you chose night over day”
