Rose and Roses
Tears rain down on the windows to your soul,
the pain you feel, punctures my heart with a hole.
No makeup today can paint you a better scene,
the silence you scream, leads me to fall at the feet of my queen.
Pleas of obscurity litter your honest expressions,
the inner keeper in me, asks myself the questions.
Is my love not strong enough to satisfy your world?
Am I not good enough to have you in my life as my girl?
‘Things haven’t been right in a long time’ is what you say,
speechless to act; I assumed you were always happy from day to day.
Shrugging and sighing seems to be your favourite habit now,
facing the uncertainty, I need to try to recapture my magic vow.
‘I promise I will always make you smile’,
I promised that to you, but I haven’t done that in a while.
You look at me with a sense of ‘I can do better’,
I need to change my ways, and address you properly without a letter.
Need to recreate the stillness you once had,
re-order my priorities and stop making you so mad.
Looking into your eyes, I hand you a glass of Rosé,
declaring my love, I hold you and point to bouquet full vase.
‘Each of the Roses indicates what you mean to me’,
twelve symbols of affection for the beauty with the key.
Your face suddenly changes to picture of complete joy,
as I whisper in your ear,
‘I am now your man, after maturing from your boy’.
