School Crush

SCHOOL CRUSH
The moment I set eyes on you, Across the lecture room, On that first day of term I fell in love. Your chestnut hair, bewitching eyes, And, oh, the magic of your laughter Coyly giggling, Yet, in its very innocence, Exuding sexuality. Perhaps you know how young men’s hearts Quicken, The moment you walk in the room. You couldn’t know how my heart Cries out The moment you enter my thoughts. Six months I’ve longed to tell you, But never dared approach, For fear of babbling Incoherently. We talk, of course But never speak of how we feel. And so, this letter (Please excuse the trembling hand) Must tell you of my thoughts. Modesty forbids that I should boast That I could be the perfect boy for you. But, when we talk, I’ve sometimes made you laugh. And that’s a start. I have tickets for a comedy next week. Will you come with me And laugh together? 19th February 2019 School Time Crush Competition Sponsor Faraz Almal
