Seasonal Love
Unexpectedly she falls into my arms
She is cool, soft and pale
Her body surrounds me like a blanket of comfort
Surely she has been missed,
For it has been months since our last embrace
Her full weight bears down upon me
I do not waver, for she is light and delicate
Entwined we sleep though the long, dark nights of winter
Her face sparkles in the moonlight; she is beautiful in my arms
Just as thoughts of her impending departure fade
Spring arrives and the sun reminds me she must leave
As she slips slowly from my grasp
I weep quietly on the shoulders of others
I long to chase after her and beg her to stay
But alas my wish will never come true
For I am a tree
And she, the snow
