The dancing daffodils are smiling here They spread the word of life in springtime’s light While nature speaks of love within her sight. The rabbits chase across the fields with cheer Without question and flirting in the warming dusk Amid the scent of fresh and sensual musk. The chill of winter’s night and days austere That froze the cleansing water on the weir It’s fading into distant mist filled dreams As love has found you in its cosmic streams With ev’ry breath I feel you drawing near. My heart protests it has no worthiness To see your smile or touch your loveliness In you I breathe again with love not fear.
