Shakespearean Inspired Poems About Toxic Love Act 3 and Act 4
Act 3
Shall I have thee slaughtered?
Hung drawn and quartered?
Speak of marriage?
White horse and carriage?
Do you truly love me?
What of those two or three?
Must we continue to barga, this is never-ending Saga?
No amount of jewellery will make up for the foolery.
A pearl for a twirl?
Hopes for a tumble long since have crumbled.
You sold me a dream as we walked by the stream.
Slipped has thy mask, uphill is the task.
This lady is not for turning.
Now, who’s burning?
Act 4
Magnetic attraction caused a reaction.
Electricity outweighed by toxicity.
Hale the betrayal, my friend?
Let’s not pretend, no way to mend.
Hazel eyes full of lashes as he bashes
Those were my weaknesses.
No amount of sweetness.
Can repair what was once there.
Intoxicated, induce in a high.
I had already said goodbye.
Mind-set fixed on revenge.
My ego I must avenge.
In a crowd of a dozen.
I chose thy cousin.
