Shared Memories
Was it the honey moon we shared after driving all night through Wisconsin? Or was it the long move West to San Francisco from East of The Mississippi? Was it the ministry we shared as counsellors in the Billy Graham Crusade? Or was it the letters by which we communicated in long hand? Was it The Buckingham Fountain? Or was it The Planetarian? Or was it the drive back from Winona Lake to Chicago?
These are seven recalls that come to mind as they land At the very top of my list of great memories. But it could be the excitement we felt with The keys to our first apartment in 1972.
Were I to choose from the list of seven or eight, I think My choice would be the treasured love letters between
My wife and me during our engagement.
It was postal love. Pre dot com love. Long distance love. High price telephone love. Love made for the memories. Yes, this is the love longed for presently, But unfortunately, seldom ever realized.
