Silence
Silence is cold.
It's bought and it's sold.
Nothing to hear,
Yet it whispers,
"Come near, my dear.
Why do you plea?
Now you're free to forget about me."
And I reply,
"Can I face the unending space
between you and me,
between the mind and the heart,
the near and the far,
the then and the now,
the why and the how?"
And it asks,
"What would you hear if silence was broken?
If I had just spoken?"
"A song."
