Sleeping
I was sleeping for a while
From the world perhaps... I’m sleeping
Was I awoken somehow?
Yet a dream... I have never been
And from slumber I awoke
No more then a newer world from whence I slept
I do remember however, those hands who stroke
To only awake alone, I silently wept
Was it the dream that altered?
Have I been sleeping too long?
Was it the world, or she who faltered?
Or perhaps... I never did belong
As always... the world never ceases to be
As well...nothing forever maintains to see
As before... to be living is never being free
As recalled... dreaming is yet a never me
Was I sleeping for a while?
Perhaps the world... was sleeping
Am I awoken somehow?
Some dream... I should have been
