Snowflakes With Biting Teeth
SNOWFLAKES WITH BITING TEETH
The splintered edges of the brittle winter sharp
split asunder the dim demeanor of the ashen sky.
In the congealed recess of shrunk spatial warp
frozen tears of broken times fall as snow and lie.
After the cold sun sinks in twilight mist gloomy
as the stilled night’s speckled shrouds fall over
I see frigid fragments of the lost time’s debris
waft with the amorphous snowflakes in the air.
In blowing blizzard the spinning snow’s design
shapes your frosty face emerging from the cold.
Defrosted time reminds me you were once mine,
beckons me to reach you again to own and hold.
Across the snow contoured flattened far meadow
as the snowflakes pierce through the sighing night
I chase with the wind your floating frozen shadow
in numb memory maimed by tormenting frost bite.
