Still Keeping It Real

KEEPING IT REAL, part 1 (Still Keeping it Real is below)

Rent one to own
Feel like a conquering hero
The most life-like robotic woman
The "Caesar-Says-5-point-zero"
With all the right curves
To make your mouth water
Graduate from the virtual
Don't live in a monitor

You are so smart, David
And also you're so handsome
I can dance like Britney Spears
Or quote books by the volume
Do you want to make love?
Or perhaps just get nasty?
I won't ask any questions
If you want to get a little crazy

But my eyes glaze over
This wasn't such a deal
I return it to the factory
Because I need to keep it real
So I get into perfect shape
Cock my head with a robotic trace
Then infiltrate 'real women'
With a non-synthetic face

STILL KEEPING IT REAL, part 2

I purchase a romance novel
Committing lines to memory
And struggle to keep a straight face
From the absolute hilarity
But practice makes perfect
And I use my silver tongue
I love you so much baby
And I want us to make love

Then I think of my muse
Who I truly love so dear
I con my way into their pants
Words sounding so sincere
But it doesn't take long
Before the mirror I despise
I reveal myself to one victim
As I say the word "Surprise!"

I observe the disintegration
Between women and men
Streets full of cyber couples
They can turn off on a whim
I gaze up toward the stars
Have they experienced this atrophy?
Perhaps the saying, "Know Thyself"
Is the only way to complete me
