Love Poem: Strangers in my life

Strangers in my life

#Strangers_in_my_life
They know not my name, they know not where I come from, but they care, asks me if I'm well, wish me well and say it with love, they greet me from their heart, day after day without getting tired from doing it, makes me feel safe and valued

I look back home, people I grew up with from childhood until I left home, fear barricades my heart, my bones trembles, I fear to even greet them when we meet, for they will look me from toe to skull, before they greet back, they would curse with smile on, wish I would die, as they walk by

Stretch my lenses closer to my heart, friends and family members who forever tap my back, saying all motivating positive words, while they forget of your existence within a blink of an eye, being all compassionate infront of my mother, and all lasting there, like politicians in front of cameras, checking on you when they want something from you

Wanna take my bags and flee to strangers land, maybe strangers are the only ones who would see a fellow human being in me, not a case to judge, not an emergency line to call when only in need, maybe strangers would love me better, treat me better and value me better than those I know and call my own,

Feel safe in strangers eyes, feel home in foreign land, feel welcome in passerby home, instead of my own tribe, instead of in my own home ground, strangers in my life, taught me blood is now no longer thicker than water, for strangers are better than family and friends, strangers in my life not family and friends
