Love Poem: Swan

Swan

i don’t know how i’m supposed to feel,
i cant tell you if my heart is ready to heal.
being blinded by the sun,
but i still feel the cold and life continues to lose all of its fun.
beg to Jesus, in the hope he listens and my burden ceases.
searching for my favourite toy as a child, but deep down i know its far gone.
now i sit on the bench by the lake and admire that beautiful swan.
i know i cant take that swan home,
so ill sit and admire while i write my poem.
the words always fall back to you,
our memories will always shine through.
a brighter light shines behind always glowing for me,
coming from the creator of the land earth and sea.
while all light turned off that light glowed brighter to be sure i could see.
while i drowned in a pool of grief,
the only buoyant i had was my belief.
