Love Poem: Sweetland

Sweetland

welcome to sweetland, my sister, my lady
where favor is flowing like honey from the jar
and kisses have sugar confection
flavored with the taste of past, present and yes future

sweetland with mountains and fountains
valleys of highs and passionate firsts, my girl
moans of delight pressing against the prisons
of yesterday, straining to be free

take caution when you walk on sugar clouds
puffy lovely like cotton candy
there may be junk and rust underneath
cavities
or just more and more
goodness,
love
tightly compacted, ready to be tasted
rightly done in
sweetland
