Tantalizing Love
Delude me, sweet fantasy: make him appear into my warm and scented sheets
Show me his love, as he caresses my long dark hair
Form a midnight fire wavering from our eyes and fingertips
Tonight I shall pluck a star for you from the heavens above -
Polished and twinkling on the edge of something fragile
Make a wish touched by something pure and everlasting
Cloaked cased in the deep amber moment
Remind me I am a like that of a small bird waiting to be cradled
Hold me close with your strength and hunger unknown to you
Oh tell me that I make you feel right -
As we waver dreamy under a canary moonlight
The warmth of your breath by my shoulder, oh sight with delight
Though we are but a mere speck in a cosmos of many
We are wrapped alone in a vacuum of glass kept fair
Now nothing else matters, nothing really could-
When you are in the arms of something so powerful and so good
Delude me, sweet fantasy: make him appear into my warm and scented sheets
(A line taken from Andrew Crisci poem Thursday’s raindrops!)
