Teach Me How to Love You

Teach me how to love you, though you turn away,
In the quiet of your heart, where shadows play.
Guide me through the silence where your secrets hide,
Let me learn the way to hold you by my side.

Teach me how to reach you when you drift afar,
When your eyes grow distant and you’ve lost your spark.
Show me how to cherish each unspoken night,
When the moon’s our only witness to our fight.

Teach me how to find you in the dark and cold,
When empty spaces echo stories left untold.
If words are lost and broken, help me find a way,
To love you deeply, come what may.

Help me understand the pain you hide so well,
To touch the tender places where your sorrows dwell.
Show me how to be the warmth you need to stay,
Even if it means you’ll walk away.

Teach me how to love you through the silent fears,
Through the quiet that now fills my heart with tears.
For if you leave and go, and I’m left here to grieve,
I’ll have learned to love you, even as you leave.
