Tell Me Not
Tell me not that the sun shines brighter
In the water.
For it glistens in your pupil
As if everyday your smile awakens Spring.
Tell me not of storms and thunder.
For your kindness is too
Soft a breeze to stir hurricanes
Inside the clouded corners of my mind.
Tell me not of religions and war
When you challenge Gods and powers
To create greener grounds than the paths you walk on,
Which are deemed the holiest of grounds.
Tell me not of sadness and tears
When the rain outside parts when your laughter
Echoes away the gray and sullen skies,
Allowing the sun to warm my face.
Tell me not of thoughts
When your spirit has long surpassed my mind
And fastened itself within my heart.
Making me surrender my body and my world
For only your Soul.
Judge me not when three words:
I love you
Are the only expressions I have to
Tell you how much you embody
The best energies life has to offer.
Tell me: I do not deserve such beauty.
For your magic has made a blind man
See this part of life that only
The night's dreams could of revealed
To a man not in love enough with life
To witness angels outside of heaven.
