That Other Man
That Other Man
Everything was beautiful
everything was going just right.
Then came along that other man
that stole your heart that night.
Nothing I could even do
as I watched with my own eyes.
I saw you were drawn to him
as you turned toward his cries.
I felt a measure of your love
as it went from me to him.
I wonder what I'll tell the world?
What can I say to them?
Without one ounce of anger
no jealousy or spite.
The day I saw your love for him
when you held him that night.
Cause I was there beside you
when he came in the room.
And the doctor set our baby free
that was trapped inside your womb.
I know he stole your heart away
and there's nothing I could do.
Because you see when he was born
he stole away my heart too.
