That Perfect Kiss

Facing lies fueling doubts, you start to feel like a dunce. For it's like you're being pulled in two directions at once. In your world of denial, reality invades dreams. And you spend long, lonely nights, awakened by silent screams. Sifting possibilities; you separate lies from truth. And grieve the lost innocence; you squandered on hopes of youth. Acid tears only increase the longevity of pain. But time slowly numbs the hurt; letting you dream once again. Love's allure is magical; offering eternal bliss. And despite a broken heart, you long for that perfect kiss.
