That Was Then This Is Now

That was then this is now

What an irony that was then this is now
Our silences never felt scarcity of words
And now we search our lost silence
In our heated conversations
With love we placed our stares
On each other's faces
To guard them
When the shafts of sun
Came to steal sparkles from them
To enlighten this world of gloom
Footprints in our hearts
That our love had designed
Are slowly fading away with angry tides crashing on shores
Slowly hold of silken love strings
Is slipping from our lacerated hearts
Bleeding by the aim of dart our words aimed
Our romantic long walks are reversing
To return to our sombre home
Home,that never was
Until we erected roof of tender love
To save from rain of ego
Supine we shared dreams
And with laughters morphed them to everlasting memories
We drew on our gray slate
With chalk of happy times
But brontide slowly shortened distance
To rumble in full flare
Sleet then entered the cracks we hid from each other
To trap our reflections in solitude mirror
Faded as tints of yellow brick route after torrential rains
Skylarks serenading it's love for spring of love
Flew to hinterlands
Uncountable adoring adjectives that our mute voices held
Have all fallen
In dungeon filled with darkness of ignorance
