The Angel Who Sings
I heard an angel singing the other day
It was a tune unlike any other
In volumes with perhaps a slight dismay
yet cause to be in tune forever
A language as well speaks unknown
A worded lyrical aria goes unheard
Carefully tongued in a place call home
Carefully misplaced as well the poetic word
And the skies glows ever darker
Darkening for the world at peace
As follow shall the earth tremble
When hopes shall become but a dying wish
It wasn’t music to honestly hear
It wasn’t honesty from the gods who sing
It was love imposing to strike as fear
It was a devil in disguise in love to mean
Was I mesmerized just the other day?
Have I now a tune I shall hymn forever?
With the devil within I shall turn I shall sway
Was it simply a me unlike any other?
