The Breeze
If the breeze comes like a friend
It may blow my hair backwards
Like my hubby once said to me
Look up
Be fresh and healthy, happy and cheerful
It may blow my hair meshy and untidy
Like my naughty and curious grandchildren
Moving here and there
Turning things over and over
It may blow gently on my hair
Like my old mother always
Put her hands on my shoulders
Patting and soothing me
When I was small
Now whenever I feel
The presence of the breeze
I think of my loved ones
And the happy days together
