The Dancer
The Dancer
The dancer rose early every newborn dawn
to see the bright sun meet her eyes
to feel and touch the joy in the skies
admiring the flowers across her lawn
Life gave it all to this perfect woman
fantastic beauty and the brains to plan
long legs, sexy body and very dark tan
soothing grace to inspire love in any man
Such perfect balance on her dainty toes
she swirled proudly as in a fairy dream
dancing to beat of any melodic love theme
such dancing made one forgot their woes
Her world spun to bring such sweet love
flying across the room like a turtle dove
matching the brightness of the sun above
all were watching spellbound and in awe of
The dancer rose early every newborn dawn
to see the bright sun meet her eyes
to feel and touch the joy in the skies
admiring the flowers across her lawn

Note- Tribute to a lady I once loved.
She that yielded to family wishes and
abandoned our life and plans. I was judged
not good enough for her and perhaps it was
a correct judgment. Life flowed ever onward.
