The Enigma of Love
The Enigma of Love
We fail to analyse love, an inscrutable, overwhelming sensation,
A mysterious enchantment, an ecstasy, an electrifying elation!
What we experience is so profound, that we are unable to explain,
As it’s intangible and unpredictable, trying to decode it is in vain.
It might bring intense pleasure, or cause unbearable pain,
It might be a heaven-sent boon, or it might be a cursed bane;
To love is a great blessing, a happiness which is immeasurable,
But falling in love is disastrous, the damage being irreversible.
The question is, should we love or should we avoid such an act,
We might get hurt grievously and suffer, is a proven tragic fact!
What the erudite poet had opined, the ambiguity will now stall,
“It’s better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.”
