The Evergreen Cradle
Listen to the wilderness and the stories it’ll tell
From its birth joy and sorrow to the moment it fell
Listen to its sighs as another day dies
Noticed by no one but the shrill winds cries
Hear its praise to the one who bore it at birth
A true queen of queens whom they call mother earth
Hear it sing to you of the things you never knew
From it’s suffering and pain that it had to go through
Listen to it call you back and beg that you wont attack
Instead help to save humanity before the world goes black
Listen to nature introduce its enormous kin
It’ll only ask for mercy and acceptance of your special kind of twin
Listen to vines and follow their lines back to your cradle
Shut out society’s realities and run fast if you’re able
For nature won’t stand too long and fight
It’ll beckon to you instead and pray you find the light
Nature will nurture, love and protect from the evils of society that infect
It will raise you and teach respect, to save others who are emotionally wrecked
Let nature captivate you and take you away, to an evergreen Eden not so far away
Listen to the voices from within, and the things they say to help you survive life’s torments
each and every day
For the world has become a scary place to live in it seems
It’s a harsh cold glass globe that will shatter all your dreams
But if you manage to survive, and pull through the fake and constant negativity, nature will
spar but then lift you up like a star
So let it embrace you from afar, show this world full of demons the true angel that you are.
