The Final Journey - 2
Grace rains down on the one who listens
Hearing the sound of His glorious spirit,
His amazing words call out for heeding
His gentle song breathes love into the soul
Of the one who knows He is filled with this
Everlasting grace, hope that knows no despair
Light that knows no darkness – it shines brighter
Than the morning sun, like a fire from the One
Who God calls His precious Son, the only One
Who was willing to give His life for love!
As I journey through this world, my heart notes
The splendor of His creation and the love
That colors hearts in praise, prayer and promises
Pure, penetrating pleasure raining down on those
Who know He is the soul’s greatest blessing,
The caress of an awesome Creator, our Savior
Along my way, as the journey brings such grace,
I feel His light pouring out on me with a faith
That is alive – it is brighter than the moonlight
More magnificent than stardust thoughts who dream
Of shadows filled with His kindness, His peace
The beauty of His unending mercy and kindness
He is alive in the sound of each wind whispering
Joy through the one who knows He is the compassion
Filling up the heart with such appreciation and gladness
His spirit leads the way on this path of gentle prayers
Praise of the Savior who enlightens and accepts us
All our faults and flaws, the sins we can’t pretend to ignore,
All of us – our worst and our best, the pieces of our quest,
Are known by this wonderous love who pours out on us
Blessings that can never be measured, redemption, peace
And hope that never leaves… on this journey through life
I know that His saving grace is the only thing that I can take
To that place where I journey toward, that heavenly home
Where His love smiles down through the wonder of a love
That lives on and on, a love that is forever, eternal, always
Love like this knows no fears, no tears… only hope and faith
The miracle of grace that never fades, grace that awakens
The heart to praise like they’ve never been away from the home
Where the journey ends and we, like Jesus, can say,…
“It is finished”
