The God Who Was
He once raised the heavens, then left to judge his fate;
" Never again should you be here", yelled the good;
As he flaired his horns, and crashed through the gate;
Deep inside the earth, where rivers of lava run thick;
Thinking to himself, " He knows the reason he fell" ;
He then came to rest in an endless inferno;
An unholy saint is starting a new form of heaven,
that would soon be "Hell" ;
Once the mighty soul in a land that strayed;
The gold, the wine, cotton clouds of white fuzz;
Waking from his dream in a cold bitter sweat;
He said with a grin, " It is true...
I am the "God who was".
