The Last Season
We buried so many autumns together,
and so many dead leaves are hiding in the sunset of our lives,
We kissed so many stars on the clear nights,
The waves have dug in the rock so many pains,
so many traces, so many tears.
We are slowly heading for the last season.
So many raindrops are hanging behind our eyelids,
ready to dance with the longings that burn in our chest,
So many answered prayers lay their petals on the holy water,
We feel You at the door, God, You are so close!
Ah, Lord, we are waiting for You!
Songs of joy, songs of thanksgiving resound in the violin strings,
and in the verses of poetry,
Grace covers us,
The clay has startled, wrapped in warm shivers,
It smells like spring, the flowers bloom again,
Not far away, in the silence of the night, we can hear the shofar.
