Devayani
Today you want to
leave,
This place Kacha,
After taking,
The priceless
knowledge,
Of the secrets of
immortality,
From my father,
Who never imparted,
This secret
knowledge,
To anyone else,
Except you. 24
Kacha
How one can forget,
Such lovely moments,
Which are so
refreshing and
alive,
In your memory and
words,
Dear Devayani.
Such moments dwell,
In our mind and
heart,
Till we live and
breathe,
On this Earth. 25
In my mind,
The images,
Of these beautiful
moments,
Have only got dim,
Because of the
brightness,
Of the light of my,
Newly gained
knowledge,
Dear Devayani. 26
Devayani
Try to recollect
Kacha,
The summer and rainy
days,
When we used to sit,
For hours,
Under the shade,
Of that big Banyan
tree,
While watching the
beauty,
Of those yellow and
red lotus,
Which always
appeared,
To be smiling in the
lake,
When the early
morning beams,
Kiss them to wake
them up. 27
And do you remember,
How in the rainy
days,
You used to praise,
The beauty of my
golden black hairs,
With that of the
hanging dark clouds,
Which appears to be
happy in waiting,
To shower,
Their rains of love,
On us. 28
And to you in those
moments,
My smiles appeared
to be more,
Pleasing and
beautiful,
Than the colorful
rainbow,
Which used to appear
in the sky,
With all its beauty
and grandeur,
To win your heart,
In its favor. 29
