The Other Side of Fairytales
And from the rain I shall emerge
though drenched in pain and scarred by love
For nothing solely worth the wait
is easy,, we must rise above
And what’s a little sorrow now
the other side of fairytales
Not just a carriage in the sun
at times, a walk on beds of nails
But oh, to seek its just reward
to reach the place where love is free
To know the one that you adore
is safe despite the costly fee
Goodbye to rain, bring clouds no more
for now the sun is here to stay
The fairytale of children’s prose
is here and proudly on display
And from the rain I shall emerge
I say when times are filled of tears
For knowing once the face of love
will serve to conquer all my fears
