The painful memory of love

The Painful Memory of Love

The painful memory of love,
The treasures that I have kept in my heart.
Love is one of those.
Love is a beautiful yet painful feeling in the world.

It abandons those who trusted,
And devastates those who loved unconditionally.
It leaves scars that never heal,
And ashes that once were those who loved.

The two aspects of love I have known,
The one that brings ache within a hollowed space,
A longing that cannot find its place.

Going back in memory only gifts me
The tears of memories.
Wounds that were healing were now ruptured wide,
Pains, dark waters flooded, my heart inside.

It has drawn me to the ocean's depth,
The place where sunlight cannot reach down.
Darkness of water, devote my soul.

Whenever I close my eyes, I see her,
Words struck like leaves on autumn's breeze.
The silence became my friend,
Echoing through my mind.

Once-clear vision, now a haze of doubt,
Question marks over familiar faces.
Once-safe heaven, now a broken terrain.

From love's shattered remains, I rise anew,
With lessons learned.
I will temper my soul and my spirit display.

The embers of heartbreak, now fuel my fire,
And emerge, phoenix-like, in radiant light.
A chapter closed, a new story to claim.
