Love Poem: The Sacred Cave At the North

The Sacred Cave At the North

Far far away from the known lands
My eyes discovered a sacred cave
Located at the North

I walked
And passed
By many other sacred caves
Seen at the
South
East
West

And finally,
I arrived at the sacred cave
At the North

It was a very long and rough journey
Other caves whispered craving for my entrance
But I have always respectfully
Denied myself their generosity
Having arrived at the sacred cave at the North
I couldn't resist that for long
So I walked in slowly and had some rest

The rest wasn't peaceful
Because echoes from the sacred cave
Pointed out to me that it is a sacred cave and that no one is allowed in until he has fulfilled the rites

There I was
Tired and with regret
Regret of not being just
A little more patient

But here I am
Here, have I found rest
Here I am
Here I vow to stay

The echoes heard my plea
And pardoned me

So I vowed to stay in this sacred cave
Because among all other sacred caves
Seen at the
South
East
And West

This sacred cave
Is that which I have
Vowed to have my rest

Sometimes when I find myself journeying through
The South
East
And West

Back to my sacred cave with my harvest
My boneless leg cries out for some rest

The echoes in these other caves
Whispers me craving
But no matter how
Weak
Fraustrated
Lonely and
Disappointed
I become

I never dare enter those sacred caves
Because I know that each is reserved for only one
One Hunter
One sacred cave
An ideology unacceptable to the known lands

Today, I am still stuck to the sacred cave at the North
And having my rest
I find fulfilment

A divine gift
Offered unconditionally

As I stand on my sacred cave
I see many more sacred caves all over
Curiosity compels me
To walk into them
But that ancient vow

Keeps me away
And away
I vow never to walk
Into any other sacred cave

I keep exploring my sacred cave
The Sacred Cave at the North
