The story of everything
Inspired by Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy. We all move through loss and grief at our own pace and in our own way.
It's a moving and funny movie, starring Renée Zellweger and a bunch of awesome actors.
The story of everything

These inanimate things I touch
In memory of your existence
I still keep them here in this box of bits
Holding on in order to go on
Here I sit again this year
Writing a letter for your birthday
The children and I miss you daily
And this gives us a chance to celebrate your life
There's this fear, you see, that they have
The forgetting about you with time
It's one of those things that happens
Children, in particular, survive this way
But there was this beautiful reminder
That energy doesn't disappear
It is transformed as are we
It goes on as do we
And there it is, exactly what the Universe intended
The reminder of our divinity
For no matter what happens when we die
We live on in another form
We live in hearts and minds
We remain tethered to souls with love
The thrumming of our collective threads
Continues to weave the most beautiful stories
The story of us
The story of our love
The story of our lives
The story of everything
And these inanimate things I touch
Well, they can't change anything
But the memories they hold will remain
Unbroken, unfettered, undeterred
Instead of moving on
I will move through the pain
Instead of moving on
I will be present each day
Learning to let go
Learning to live again
Learning to love again
Learning that loss isn't permanent
I'll see you again one day
Where everything exists as light
Where we are love and loved
Our eternal energy is one
