The Wall On Which We Sat
Thirty-seven years ago
Her vibrancy did glow
Even seers could never know
What seeds of love would grow
An invitation then to dance
Lured me from my seat
Lifting me from nervous trance
On two left handed feet
No chit nor chat could there be had
With this delightful vision
Her blue eyes and her ‘way out’ hair
Instilled in me decision
Come outside, so we can each
Hear what the other says
We talked sat on a low brick wall
Enrapt in tender ways
She laughed at things I talked about
And laid on me a kiss
The very kiss that brought to me this everlasting bliss
