The Willing Soul
The soul is but the interface
Of life and death combined
The body and the spirit join
And both are intertwined
They share the birth of one who yearns
To leave the spirit life
To part the clouds of happiness
And join the worldly strife
The soul is but a willing pawn
To learn the ways of love
To leave the sun of saving grace
That shines a light above
To join the lost and lose the self
In giving what they serve
To play the game of balls and strikes
And swing at every curve
To cheer the one who lost the sun
To sing the moon at night
Who needs to grow and find the glow
Of heavenly delight
To gain control and win the goal
Of joy and peace of mind
To leave the world a better place
For ones they leave behind.
