There Were Moments
There were moments, captured in expelled breaths
that are precious. Explosions that leaped from tongues
on the back of much missed laughter. Gazes
that connected like a jig-saw.
There were moments, limbs half hacked away by frost
when we connected - lazing in the warmth of each other.
Silent, witness to world and waving as it passed.
Standing bare-foot on the grass, chasing butterfly.
There are moments that I miss.
