These Arms Long To Hold You
These arms still long to hold you strong
it’s been so many lovely years;
our moments shared, the joys and tears,
the beat goes on and plays our song.
a love sublime through passing times
as happy hearts share love’s embrace;
a feeling time cannot erase
as aging climbs and autumn chimes.
And as we age upon our stage,
reflect on life and weigh our gains;
our love steadfast and still remains
as years engage and turn life’s page.
