Think of This
Think of this,
forever
Think of what it does
to refuse your desire--
Can you stop the rainfall?
To remember to deny
the parched summer soil
its only forgiveness
To leave longing roots
reaching
like arms through the bars
searching with fingertips
not knowing why
fueled by an eternal thirst
If that not be the case
think of this, forever--
Never hesitate on such dilemma
for in me the rain falls infinitely
until time decides to deny me
think of this-- forever, my love.
