Those Eyes
"Those Eyes"
by: Eric L. Boddie
Stars shine so bright
And a child's smile is just so pure
When God created your eyes
They are all He used, I am sure
He used the sun's power
The Life-giving warmth of its fire
Then He divided it above each of your cheeks
It's no wonder that they spark desire
Enough was not done though
Because the Creator works with style
He took that which was already perfect
And sprinkled it with the happiness of a child
Vibrant can easily describe some
But the Beauty in your eyes is just too strong
And any man who says he has seen anything more Beautiful
Needs to be shot because he is dead wrong
Only the face of Love
If there is such a thing
Can compare to your soul's windows
If they had a voice, they would always sing
No word nor any description
At least not any known to me
Can do justice to the Beauty in your eyes
Because it was God who said "Let Them Be"
No one but Him
Can begin to understand
And I don't know how they affect women
But you just wouldn't believe what they do to a man
Even if I could tell you
You wouldn't understand what I would say
Because only the Language of God has the Words
To describe the Beauty that your eyes display
