Though We Grow Old
We’re older now. Your hair has lost its hue,
yet still I fondly touch your locks of grey,
and though the things so well that you could do
when you were young are difficult today,
I’m always by your side, for I’m your mate!
We've been through much, and yet, together we
can weather life’s worst storms till they abate.
By now you know you can depend on me.
How fast time etched its marks upon your face.
It's marked me too, but look on me and know
we're still the same beneath, and when I trace
your features, I still see the youthful glow
that mirrored mine when we were both so young,
and still I think the moon by you was hung!
