Times We Knew
I love; when the day's done,
and Twilight's just begun;
the clouds get stained blood red,
where a dying sun bled.
And Sol shrinks; as His light
slowly sinks out of sight.
I love the twinkling stars
and reddish blush of Mars;
chilly nights, winds that blow,
and a full moon's soft glow.
Colors that ink the sky,
signal that night is nigh.
I love it when the rain
cries in sync with my pain
and sheds tears just for me;
yet everyone can see.
Drop by drop, tear by tear,
they mask my hidden fear.
I love the times we knew
and all the things we'd do.
